"Back to Basics"

"Back to Basics"
Focus on the Fundamentals
Return to an emphasis on Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic with the goal of improving test scores among ALL students.
In Mason District, SOL (VA Standards of Learning)
scores are on a 3-year DECLINE.
We must bring back an emphasis on Academic Excellence.
Ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff in the midst of increased violence and drug use/overdoses by keeping
weapons and drugs off campus.
Bullying and assaults have INCREASED in our schools with no consequences for the perpetrators.
We must improve safety in our schools.
FCPS annual budget is $3.5 BILLION! With such a large budget, there should not be a teacher shortage, parents should not be paying out of pocket for tutoring, and teachers should not be paying out of pocket for classroom supplies. Additionally, we lack resources for special needs education.
We must audit the FCPS budget.
We Need Alternate Voices
The current School Board is 100% Democrats.
We need diversity of thought
on the School Board.
VOTE FOR CHANGE
Educational success can only be achieved with
Teachers are trained to deliver educational lessons.
Parents and guardians place their children in public schools with the understanding that they will be safely returned to them at the end of the school day.
It is the school’s job to educate the children,
not to raise them.
Parents and guardians have the right to know what their children are being taught and how they are being taught.
Parents and guardians are the ones who are responsible for the medical and mental health of their children, not the school or its employees. Therefore, information about a child should never be withheld from parents and guardians.
I fully support Governor Youngkin’s model policies.
Here’s why: My main concern with the LGBTQ+ agenda is that it has consumed the public school system. Rather than merely being accepting of a child who identifies as LGBTQ+, the schools seem to be promoting that lifestyle.
